RWDCA Announces New Additions to the Board of Directors



Dennis Gransee
Dennis Gransee, D&D Holsteins, Sanborn, MN
(RWDCA member since 1976)
Dennis Gransee is the owner of D&D Holsteins in Sanborn, Minnesota. He first registered animals with the RWDCA in 1975 and has registered over 500 head. His current herd consists of 56 cows and 86 head of youngstock with a herd average of 23,555M 878F 758P. He runs a one man operation with occasional part time help. Dennis is planning on having a dispersal sale on September 7th and keeping back many of the young stock to be embryo recipients. He owns and operates 97 acres (40 tillable for silage) and buys the rest of his feedstuffs. Dennis has classified with the RWDCA many times and was on the Red Express program. He has shown at the Minnesota State Red & White Show many times in his early years.



Doug Lyons, Lyons-DL Holsteins, Castalia, IA
(RWDCA member since 2003)

Doug LyonsLyons-DL Holsteins in Castalia, Iowa is run by Doug Lyons and his family. They currently have 60 cows and 63 heifers with 70 Red and Whites and 16 Red Carriers registered with the RWDCA. The family was involved in the Red Express program and the herd is classified at least once a year through the RWDCA. Dennis and wife Lynnette have two children, Carly (21) and Michael (18) who are active in the RWDCA having exhibited at National Shows. They have also exhibited their Red & Whites at county, district and state shows. The goals on the farm at this time include breeding more Red polled animals and utilizing genomics to breed for a beautiful, productive cow that they can build great cow families from.





Jake Skinner, Red-Crest Farm, Mercersburg, PA
(RWDCA member since 1994)

Jake SkinnerJake Skinner has been re-elected to the board of directors of the RWDCA. Jake's farm Red-Crest Farm consists of 150 head. He is currently serving as President of the RWDCA. The two years before this, he served as Treasurer. Jake has also served on the board in 2005-2006. In the past, he has been involved on the Breed Activities, Finance and Nomination committees. Currently, Jake is on the Executive committee. Jake has been involved in the All-American Dairy Show and the Premier National Junior Show by helping with sponsorships and other issues at the show. He has helped with a few National Red & White Conventions also.

The directors will take their new positions on August 14th at the RWDCA Annual Meeting that will be held in conjunction with the National Red & White Convention in Dunkirk, NY.



Founded in 1964, the Red & White Dairy Cattle Association has been located in Crystal Spring, Pennsylvania since 1975 and Clinton, Wisconsin since 2009.
