Applications are now available for the Wisconsin Beef Council (WBC) summer internship position.
The 2012 Wisconsin Beef Council Intern is a paid employee of the WBC and will work full-time for 12-weeks this coming summer. The Intern will attend industry and consumer functions on behalf of the beef industry and will assist in summer programs conducted by the WBC.
"The Beef Internship position is a great experience for a young person interested in the beef industry, agricultural public relations, nutrition and promoting our product. The program is designed for the Intern to get a better view of the industry and receive as much of an educational experience as possible," states John Freitag, WBC Executive Director.
The internship is open to any Wisconsin college student with an agriculture, marketing, nutrition or related major. Any young person interested in the position should have a speaking knowledge of the beef industry. A rural background is a plus.
Applications and more information can be obtained from the Wisconsin Beef Council by emailing email@example.com; calling 1-800-728-BEEF or visiting the website, www.beeftips.com/newsroom1.aspx.
After applications are received, a selection committee will review the applications and select five finalists to come to the WBC office for an interview. Applications are due to the WBC office by February 24, 2012.
