TransOvaTrans Ova Genetics announces a new satellite center, in partnership with Preferred Genetics, located in Columbus, NE. Preferred Genetics, a current center that has been servicing the Nebraska region with excellent embryo transfer and reproductive services for more than 20 years, will host the new Trans Ova Genetics satellite center. The new location offers Nebraska area breeders convenient access to In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) technologies to incorporate into their operations.

The new satellite center will combine the technical expertise of Trans Ova Genetics professional services team with the excellent embryo transfer services provided by Preferred Genetics. The team will be led by Matt Bartlett, DVM from the Sioux Center, Iowa, location, who will work closely with Phil Buhman, DVM, owner and operator of Preferred Genetics. Nebraska breeders will now have access to elite IVF services to incorporate into their donor programs at a convenient location close to home. The Preferred Genetics location will begin monthly aspirations in mid April 2012.

While the Preferred Genetics Center is equipped to house and synchronize donors, clients will also have the option of synchronizing donors at their home and hauling them to the center on the day scheduled for aspiration. The Trans Ova Genetics team will aspirate donors at the Nebraska Center and return to the lab in Sioux Center, Iowa, in order to fertilize and culture the oocytes. Viable embryos can then be shipped back to Preferred Genetics to where they can then be transferred into the breeder's recipients. Other recipient and freezing options are available through Trans Ova Genetics upon request.

"Dr. Buhman has established a very reputable embryo transfer business in central Nebraska offering more than 20 years of exceptional embryo transfer services to the region," says Matt Bartlett, DVM, Trans Ova Genetics. "Trans Ova Genetics is excited to partner with Preferred Genetics to offer elite IVF services to the Nebraska region."
