Proceeds fund youth and producer education projects across the dairy community
The Professional Dairy Producers Foundation will host its annual Silent Auction at the 2016 Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin (PDPW) Business Conference, March 16-17. A wide variety of farms and businesses have once again contributed to the auction, according to Auction Co-Chair Linda Behling. Individuals interested in bidding are encouraged to attend the PDPW Business Conference, March 16-17. Business Conference registration is available at www.pdpw.org. For those unable to attend the conference but interested in bidding on one of the packages, please call the PDPW office, 1-800-947-7379, to make arrangements for a proxy bidder.
All funds raised benefit the Professional Dairy Producers Foundation. Programs supported by the Foundation include the PDPW Agricultural Community Engagement (ACE) program, the PDPW Dairy Mentor Program and the PDPW Youth Leadership Derby. The Foundation has also awarded grants to dairy producer projects in other dairy states, with the goal of increasing producer professionalism and creating a network of professional dairy producers across the country who can share project ideas and successes.
The Professional Dairy Producers Foundation was established in 2002 by Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin as a vehicle to raise funds and award grants for educational programs within dairy communities.
