Homemade tractor weight
Tractor weights can be expensive to purchase and cumbersome to attach. Stuart Meier of Rademacher Dairy in Sun Prairie, Wis., created this tractor weight using a 4,000-pound concrete block he purchased for about $25. A piece of 6-inch by 1/2-inch steel attaches it to the three-point tractor hitch. Besides those few supplies, it just took half a day of cutting and welding to create this inexpensive tractor weight. It is great for adding weight to the tractor while packing their bunker silos.
