FFA logoThe Wisconsin FFA Foundation will be participating in the upcoming Wisconsin State Fair in partnership with the Wisconsin State Championship Auctioneer Contest. The event will be held Tuesday, August 5, beginning at 1:30 p.m. on the main stage in the coliseum. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate with their general admission to the fair.

The Foundation will receive 100 percent of the funds raised from auction items that have been secured from generous in-kind supporters. Such items include a pedal tractor, pedal weinermobile, signed Green Bay Packer footballs, over $500 in Organic Valley products, a basket of equine items and western wear, Wisconsin Badger football tickets, Green Bay Packer preseason tickets, Milwaukee Brewers tickets and 10 hours of marketing services.

"We are really looking forward to this event. Wisconsin State Fair is such an exciting event and a perfect fit for our organization to be involved based on the FFA tradition. Not to mention how FFA supporters love a good auction," says Lori Lulich, President of the Wisconsin FFA Foundation Board of Directors.

The Wisconsin FFA Foundation is continuing the momentum of last year's record fundraising year, in which over $500,000 was raised to support Wisconsin FFA members. These resources are significant in supporting statewide membership, which is at a 30-year high, and the addition of seven chapters added over the past five years. The growth in fiscal support has equated to new activities added for members to discover and refine their career skills and leadership abilities.

The Wisconsin State Championship Auctioneer Contest invites all to attend and is free with general state fair admission.

The Wisconsin FFA Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) organization, unites individuals, organizations and companies who share a common interest in the advancement of agriculture and community leadership through FFA. You can support today's FFA members by supporting the programs that have been core tenets of the FFA: proficiency awards, career development events, state FFA degrees, sectional leadership workshops, scholarships, chapter awards, agri-science fair, state FFA convention and state officer support.
