Extended chute saves trucks and grain
When one of my employees came too close to a truck last year while filling it with the grain cart, I decided to fix the problem. I simply extended the grain unload chute by taking a stainless steel piece, giving it two 90° bends based on the size I needed and bolted it on the outside of my original auger chute.
Now the tractor and grain cart can stay at least 8 feet away from the truck. Another benefit is that less grain blows away since the new chute is closer to the top of the trailer.
