Six months ago, Alltech welcomed KEENAN, the noted Irish agri-farming manufacturer, to its global family. Since then, KEENAN has witnessed continued growth and strength thanks to Alltech’s global footprint and family of companies. During the past few months, KEENAN, under the new leadership of CEO Robert Walker, has worked alongside Alltech colleagues around the globe, hosting meetings, developing KEENAN Clubs in which customers gather to share knowledge and experience, building strong relationships and opening new markets.

“It has been a very busy and exciting six months for our teams,” said Walker. “I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished thus far, and together with our Alltech colleagues, we continue to look for avenues to better deliver enhanced nutritional solutions to farmers through science and technology. As we approach manufacturing capacity, we are investigating ways in which to expand production and develop new, more advanced KEENAN units.”

Since its inception, KEENAN has offered tailor-made solutions to enhance farm profitability. In joining the Alltech family, a renewed energy has been invested in design, innovation and technology to ensure the KEENAN offering exceeds the demands of tomorrow’s agricultural requirements. Through advances in precision farming and with the input of customers, KEENAN has focused on innovative development. The KEENAN engineering team will soon be ready to launch exciting new product innovations to address customers’ desires to improve their speed, capacity and ability to handle all forage sources. Alltech, primarily a nutrition company, together with the KEENAN MechFiber365 machine, is now delivering the latest nutritional technology on-farm via KEENAN NutriPods, the ultimate nutrition pack to accompany every machine.

“Two great Irish, globally-minded companies came together six months ago, and both have learned from each other’s experience, and both have grown stronger together,” said Dr. Pearse Lyons, founder and president of Alltech. “Between Alltech’s primacy in science and KEENAN’s manufacturing strength and technological know-how, we have a winning combination for delivering greater farm efficiency and profitability directly to our farming customers.”

Key to this renewed focus is KEENAN InTouch, a live review and support service with advice from skilled nutritionists. A unique product offering, InTouch ensures animals meet their daily performance potential. Working alongside Intel, InTouch technology automates data sharing and enhances nutritional analysis, providing solutions to farmers around the world. More than 3,000 customers around the world are connected to InTouch hubs in Ireland, France, Scandinavia and New Zealand. Plans are in place to create more InTouch hubs in South Africa, China and Canada in the coming months.

KEENAN machines are now being exported to Romania, India, Japan, China and Latin America, with more new market opportunities presented by Alltech’s diverse, global team on the ground.

“The support, collaboration and enthusiasm from our Alltech colleagues have been phenomenal,” said Matt Higgins, KEENAN commercial director. “We are witnessing strong sales growth and prospects from many of the Alltech offices around the world. The synergies are hugely impressive.”

KEENAN is headquartered in Borris, County Carlow, Ireland, and employs 169 employees in Ireland. Together, Alltech and KEENAN employ nearly 300 people in Ireland and close to 5,000 people globally.
