Charlie Kunisch recently joined the Vita Plus team as a dairy and beef specialist. Kunisch will be responsible for serving producers throughout the northern Michigan area. He will work closely with the dairy and beef teams in the area to consistently provide nutrition and management expertise to help producers achieve their production goals.
Kunisch graduated from Michigan State University (MSU) in 2011 with his bachelor’s degree in animal sciences. At MSU, Kunisch was highly involved on the Dairy Challenge team, placing first and second in back-to-back years, and also worked four years in the university dairy barn. After graduation, he worked on a ranch in Montana managing more than 800 cow-calf pairs and was in charge of the vaccination, breeding, and harvest programs. After a few years, Kunisch moved back to Michigan where he has worked in a similar role with more than 1,000 calves and fat cattle.
