Ver Steeg grew up in northwest Iowa and central Minnesota where he worked on dairy farms before relocating to California in 1985. There, he worked on large dairies as a feeder, before later taking various management positions. While working in dairy management, he created EZfeed, the first feed management software for dairies. EZfeed is estimated to feed more than 6 million animals around the world on a daily basis. In 1999, Ver Steeg sold the software to DHI Computing and relocated to Utah. For the past 18 years, he worked as a project manager with DHI.

Diamond V has welcomed Nik Ver Steeg to its team as Ruminant Field Technical Specialist.
