
At least one member of the investigative team must be an AABP member in good standing. Research teams that include one or more professional hoof trimmers who are HTA members are strongly encouraged. Veterinary applicants may be practicing veterinarians, veterinarians enrolled in a graduate degree program, veterinary faculty members, or veterinary students under the direction of a licensed veterinarian or veterinary faculty member.
A joint selection committee consisting of members of the AABP Lameness Committee and the HTA will review submitted applications. The period of the award shall be for one year. The expected distribution of the award is January 1, 2019.
Investigators must seek publication of research results through an appropriate venue in a timely fashion. Grant recipients will be expected to present their findings at the AABP Annual Convention and/or at the HTA Hoof Health Conference.
