During the recent 2018 Adisseo International Dairy Workshop in China, more than 220 individuals gained practical insights on a number of dairy-related topics. The two-day educational event was hosted by Adisseo, the number-one ruminant methionine solution provider for dairy producers.

“Our 2018 international Dairy Workshop presents Adisseo as a service and solution provider to customers and as the leader in the ruminant methionine market,” says Haihong Peng, Adisseo regional business manager. “There were many questions from the floor about the practicalities and benefits of amino acid balancing over the whole lactation. Many participants wanted to learn about how to reformulate rations at no extra cost while still achieving the benefits of amino acid balancing throughout lactation.”

The timely and insightful presentations were made by six speakers: Charles Schwab, owner of Schwab Consulting and Professor Emeritus, University of New Hampshire; Professor Jim Drackley, Animal Science, University of Illinois; Professor Dave Combs, Department of Dairy Science, University of Wisconsin; Edwin J. Kreykes D.V.M, owner, GPS Dairy Consulting; John Tyson P.E., Ag. Engineer with the Pennsylvania State Cooperative Extension Service; and Franck Gaudin, Dairy Business Director, Big Gain Feed Company.

The presentations provided insights on amino acid nutrition, transition cow management, the maximization of milk production through high-quality forages, disease prevention and control, cow comfort, and perspectives on maximizing milk production and milk components.
