This June, in honor of National Dairy Month, the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy is partnering with nearly 40,000 family farms, processors and dairy brands to spotlight the many people who are devoted to dairy. The month-long celebration will kick off year two of the Undeniably Dairy campaign and will rally communities from coast to coast to salute people’s passion for dairy.

Since launching one year ago, the multi-year Undeniably Dairy campaign has sought to reignite consumers’ love for dairy while helping to bring them closer to the farm and to the people behind their favorite dairy foods.

This year’s National Dairy Month celebration will be unprecedented in scope and scale. The effort will leverage large-format murals, podcasts, events and special activations to spotlight dairy devotees from every part of the farm-to-community chain. The simple message – the dairy community loves making dairy just as much as people love to enjoy it.

“We know that people are disconnected from our farms and that they have questions about how their food is produced,” said Beth Engelmann, chief marketing communications officer at Dairy Management Inc., which supports the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy.

Year two of Undeniably Dairy will serve as a kickoff to celebrate the devotion of farmers, chefs and everyone in-between who bring the nutrient-rich and responsibly produced dairy foods that people know and love, to their table.”

The celebration begins on June 1 in honor of World Milk Day. This annual event acknowledges the worldwide contributions of the dairy community to sustainability, economic development and nutrition. The day features various activities across the globe, including farmers opening their doors to visitors.

Undeniably Dairy is rallying farmers, dairy companies and others to raise a “virtual” glass on their social media channels using the hashtags #WorldMilkDay and #UndeniablyDairy.

“The dairy community – and especially America’s dairy farmers – are stronger than ever,” said Marilyn Hershey, a Pennsylvania dairy farmer and chair of Dairy Management, Inc. “We are taking extra steps to leave the land better than we found it and using new innovations to provide better care for the cows all while delivering on the safe and nutritious dairy products people expect.

“Through Undeniably Dairy, we’re excited to tell our stories of devotion, so people can get to know the faces behind dairy and feel good about serving it to their families.”

The June Dairy Month effort is supported by the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy, which was established by dairy farmers to address common goals, one of which is to tell their story.

Other special events include 3D sidewalk chalk murals, on-farm breakfast events and more. To learn more, visit UndeniablyDairy.org or any of these DairyGood social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.)
