Scholarship applications are once again available for FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative membership youth pursuing a post-secondary education.

“Education is a cornerstone in the foundation of this cooperative,” says John Rettler, president of FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative. “We are proud to be able to continue this scholarship program for its seventh year and to support so many students pursuing their goals of higher education. During challenging years where milk prices are low, it is more important than ever for members kids to know that they have support to help them achieve their educational goals.”

“Applying for the scholarship has never been easier,” says Julie Sweney, Director of Communications at FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative. “Students can download the application directly from FarmFirst’s website, or they can simply complete the online application, submitting all aspects of their application, from their photo to their transcripts, digitally. The online form was meant to make it convenient for students to complete the application, while focusing on their classwork.”

Scholarship recipients will be selected based on leadership, scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, an essay response, their future plans and career goals. All members of FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative and their children attending four-year universities, two-year technical programs or short courses in addition to high school seniors planning for post-secondary education are eligible to apply for the scholarships.

Applications are due March 29, 2019, and can be found online for online submission or to download the form. For additional information on FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative or to access the scholarship application, visit www.FarmFirstDairyCooperative.com or call (608) 244-3373.
