Kleffmann Group, the leader in international agricultural research, names Monica (Patterson) Phillips as its managing director of KG MarketSense, its North American Subsidiary. Phillips brings two decades of experience in agricultural marketing and research and will now be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operations of Kleffmann Group in the U.S. and Canada, including AMIS Panels, AdHoc Research and MyDataPlant. She becomes a member of the firm’s global management team and will support strengthening the company's position in the seed and crop protection market.

Phillips holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agronomy and a Master of Business Administration from Iowa State University. Recently, she has worked in agriculture services-based companies such as Beck Ag, Inc., to help clients utilize customer intelligence and data to develop impactful marketing strategies. Her career also includes more than nine years at DuPont Pioneer in marketing and general management roles where she led multiple major initiatives.

“Monica brings a passion for agriculture and a wealth of experience that give her a keen understanding of the needs of our clients and how to best support them,” says Burkhard Kleffmann, CEO of Kleffmann Group. “Through her experiences, Monica has come to understand both the needs of our customers and how to best support them. Her experience working for and with international companies will help her in her global work at Kleffmann Group.”

With the appointment of Phillips, KG MarketSense founder, David Soorholtz, will focus his expertise solely on the global animal health market as Director of Animal Health, North America, and Global Product Manager for Animal Health. “My passion is for animal health, a business I’ve been a part of during my entire career,” Soorholtz says. “I’m excited to re-focus my efforts on that segment of the business.”

Burkhard Kleffmann, CEO of Kleffmann Group, is delighted with this transition. "With Monica’s expertise in the seed and crop protection markets and David’s in the animal health market, we have two outstanding experts who will strengthen our position not only in North America but throughout the world. Together they form a perfect team. I look forward to working together and to our common future."
