Chairman Collin Peterson announced today the promotion of Kellie Adesina to Chief Counsel for the House Agriculture Committee. Adesina had served previously as Senior Counsel on the Committee since 2016.
“Kellie brings such valuable experience and insight to this role. She sees the work we do on the Committee and its impact on the people we serve from all angles,” Peterson said. “She is a strong attorney and a great leader and I’m excited for what's to come.”
Prior to joining the House Agriculture Committee staff, Adesina was Senior Counselor at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She also served as Legislative Director for Congresswoman Marcia Fudge of Ohio, Legislative Counsel for Congresswoman Judy Chu of California, and in various roles for Senator Robert Menendez of her home state of New Jersey. Adesina holds a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz School of Law, and a bachelor's in political science from Bethune-Cookman University.
