Kevin Jorgensen was recognized with a milestone service award during Select Sires Inc.’s employee appreciation dinner on May 22 in Plain City, Ohio. Jorgensen, senior Holstein sire analyst, received a 25-year service award for his dedication and passionate service to Select Sires and customer-owners of the cooperative.

Based out of Waupun, Wis., Jorgensen is responsible for Holstein and Red & White sire acquisition and manages the Showcase Selections program. He works with breeders across North America and around the world to continually improve the Holstein breed. Jorgensen’s passion for the Holstein cow and genetic advancement is unmatched. As a sire analyst, Jorgensen brought 7HO12587 DIAMONDBACK and 250HO12589 JACOBY into the program—both of which have been extremely successful, benefited type enthusiasts tremendously and recently graduated as daughter-proven sires.

Jorgensen is active in his local, state and national dairy community. He is a member of the Wisconsin Holstein Association, serving on the board or as a director for many years, and serves on the World Dairy Expo board of directors. He enjoys judging shows, including World Dairy Expo, and has had the privilege of judging in Japan and Central America.
