The programs and projects division was extremely competitive, and judges were challenged with more than 135 entries. Select Sires is pleased to have winning entries in three categories in the division. Earning top honors in the miscellaneous print subcategory was the Cooperative Branding Guidelines. The “Select Calf Coat” advertisement submitted by Kayla Wright, won third place in print advertising. In social media planning and management, Select Sires Inc. and Select Sires Jerseys Facebook communications was recognized with third place honors.
Of the 127 entries in the photography division, Leslie Maurice placed third in the smartphone photography subcategory with her photo entitled “The Calm Before the Show.”
The publications division included 96 entries and in the employee publication subcategory, Select Sires’ Select Connect employee newsletter received second place honors.
Master Cooperative CommunicatorDuring the annual CCA business meeting, Terri Smith, Select Sires’ sales and marketing specialist, earned a Master Cooperative Communicator (MCC) certificate. This program recognizes individuals for exemplary work in the communications field and rewards professional involvement and volunteer activities.
