The exciting news was released today that Land O’Lakes, Inc. was included on Fortune magazine’s 2019 Change the World list, an annual list of companies making social or environmental impact through their business strategy and operations.
This is the second time in three years our farmer-owned cooperative has been included on this exclusive list. Land O’Lakes was first featured on Fortune’s Change the World list in 2017 following our launch of Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN, and Fortune is again spotlighting our work in deploying ag tech to support farmer-led stewardship. A major element of this year’s recognition is the Truterra Insights Engine, a first-of-its-kind digital tool announced last fall that measures and tracks on-farm stewardship activity and environmental impact.
This is a recognition of the momentum we continue to drive every day in ag tech and innovation. We are extremely proud, yet humbled to see Fortune bring this work to the attention of audiences who may not realize the critical role technology plays in agriculture.
