Other FUTP60 Students Thank Dairy Farmers for Their Hard Work in Video

Fuel Up to Play 60 (FUTP60) student ambassador, Samarth Mannikeri, an eighth grader from Yardley, Pa., was one of four students from across the country chosen to participate in the National Football League (NFL) draft. He was selected because he created an interactive FUTP60 classroom video to remind his fellow Pennsbury School District students to stay active and eat healthy with dairy during home quarantine.

Samarth’s video provided examples of things to do when taking a break from studying at home, such as make-your-own smoothie recipes with milk, fruits and vegetables, and quick workout tips like jogging.

On Saturday, April 25, Samarth’s prerecorded FUTP60 message aired before the Philadelphia Eagles announced their seventh-round draft pick. Samarth’s story garnered media interviews with most of the news outlets in Philadelphia and surrounding Bucks County.

FUTP60 is the leading in-school health and wellness program launched a decade ago by the NFL and National Dairy Council designed to empower youth to lead healthier lives. More than 11,000 students are involved in the program in the ADA North East territory, some of whom rallied to send video clips thanking dairy farmers for continuing to produce a safe and abundant milk supply.
