The Center for Dairy Research’s team of experts have been evolving its short courses to deliver the same science-based learning and training opportunities through online, virtual instruction.

CDR’s Certificate in Dairy Processing training program will start September 2. This 10-week online course is geared towards anyone who needs a clear understanding of basic dairy plant processes, chemistry and equipment.

During the 10 week program, a new live-streamed lecture/discussion session will be held each Wednesday afternoon from 3-5pm (CT), using a learning management system that allows interaction between all members of the program. All sessions will also be recorded for those unable to attend at the scheduled time.

The Certificate in Dairy Processing online course is composed of 10 modules covering important aspects of dairy product manufacturing, such as “Dairy Microbiology and Chemistry,” “Understanding Dairy Ingredients,” “Production of Cheese,” “Food Safety and Sanitation,” and much more. The course meets requirements for those seeking a Wisconsin cheesemaker license.
