New monitoring technologies added to fertility programs are helping to increase dairy heifer reproduction efficiencies and profitability. Recent studies have shown that monitoring technologies can be used to improve efficiency beyond identifying heifers in estrus. In fact, herd monitoring provides opportunities to further fine-tune reproductive performance by considering timing of AI when using sex-sorted semen and optimizing fertility when using prostaglandin to induce estrus.

JoinLuís Mendonça, DVM, Technical Services with Merck Animal Health in this RACE-approved webinar as he shares the findings of recent research studies and discusses how technology can be used to optimize fertility. He will also discuss the pros and cons of using heat detection, or timed AI programs for first service in replacement heifers.

The American Association of Veterinary State Boards granted one Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) credit for this DCHA webinar. Thus, veterinarians may earn one CE if they attend.
