California producers to benefit from his extensive dairy expertise

Zinpro Corporation, the industry leader in performance trace mineral nutrition for livestock, poultry, aquaculture and companion animals, today announced that Dr. Miquel Morales, D.V.M., has joined the company as dairy technical service specialist, Western District. In this new role, he will assist Zinpro dairy customers in California and the surrounding western states to improve on-farm management for increased animal wellness, production and profitability.

Dr. Morales brings more than 30 years of dairy experience to his role, most recently as a senior technical service manager for a global nutritional ingredient company. His experience includes helping dairies with training in the areas of feeding, colostrum management, milking and herd management.

“Miguel is well known in the industry for his expertise in production medicine, udder health and labor management, having assisted dairies across the U.S. and Mexico with everything from troubleshooting techniques to refining protocols to training milking crews,” says Scott Hirsch, Western District manager for Zinpro. “Miguel's goals align closely with Zinpro’s – he wants to utilize practical dairy nutrition and management knowledge to help production animal farmers succeed.”

Dr. Morales also has published numerous articles on labor management, multicultural workforces, motivation and training. He earned a veterinary degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and a dairy health management certificate from Michigan State University.
