The latest innovator in animal health and nutrition, Native Microbials, has partnered with Megafarma to expand the distribution of products that improve animal health and overall farmer profitability. The first product will serve the dairy industry. Megafarma is the premier specialty chemicals and food ingredient distributor in Mexico.
“We are excited to offer livestock producers in Mexico access to the latest technology in dairy health and nutrition,” said Martin Hernandez, Megafarma general director.
Native Microbials’ product Galaxis (sold under the name Altius in Mexico) is now available from Megafarma for producers in Mexico. Altius is a supplement packed with health-promoting microbes that are native to high-performing dairy cows.
The product improves feed digestibility in the rumen, resulting in increased rumen function and improved profitability.
“Our product is already being used by some of the largest dairies in California,” said Mike Seely, Native Microbials chief executive officer. “We are pleased to work with Megafarma and to ultimately help Mexican producers improve their operations.”
Following Native Microbials’ announcement of securing Series B funding in May 2020, this is one of next steps in the plan to increase Native’s distribution footprint through Latin America. Currently, the company’s first product is available in California, Argentina and Mexico.
“Collaborations with leading distributors like Megafarma are a key part of our expansion strategy,” Seely added.
