PDPW is bringing its leading-edge, forward-focused programming and top-notch speakers to a new location for its annual Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) PDPW Business Conference. The two-day event will be held March 17-18, 2021, at the Kalahari Resort Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, Wis.

“After a challenging and often isolating 2020, we are all looking forward to the opportunity to gather together in a safe and engaging environment to learn together and recharge for a successful 2021,” said Katy Schultz, PDPW Board President and dairy producer from Fox Lake, Wis. “In keeping with the “Discover” theme for the conference, the event will feature two days full of new ideas and engaging speakers that will inspire attendees for the year ahead.”

The conference will be held at the newly expanded Kalahari Resort Convention Center, featuring state-of-the-art conference rooms and technology, as well as professional staff and facilities prepared to host events that follow appropriate COVID-19 requirements and health precautions.

The new location is the perfect fit for the 28 sessions and 43 speakers, as well as the Hall of Ideas and Equipment Trade Show with the all-new Nexus™ stage, to be held under one roof.

The Nexus stage will make its debut at the 2021 conference, featuring TED Talk-style presentations introducing new ideas to improve dairy productivity and sustainability. Dairy producers will have an opportunity to ask questions following each presentation. All innovators, creators and idea-generators are invited to submit their ideas for consideration by Feb. 1, 2021. The Nexus stage will be professionally moderated and is the perfect opportunity to introduce the next generation of technologies and innovations to move the dairy industry forward. More details are at https://pdpw.org/nexus/

A series of four youth-leadership sessions is another new addition to the 2021 Business Conference, providing fast-paced, engaging sessions led by coach and trainer Hans Gochenaur. Designed for young people ages 15 to 18, the trainings will focus on building communications, teamwork and collaboration skills. Teens who register for these sessions will also be able to attend keynote and breakout sessions throughout the conference.

All sessions are approved for continuing education units (CEU). In addition to CEUs being available through PDPW’s Dairy AdVanCE® (DACE), select sessions are approved for CEUs through American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS) and Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). All told, 790 minutes of continuing education are available through the conference. To learn more about DACE, visit www.DairyAdvance.org.

The program and location have been adapted to meet CDC-recommended guidelines for the COVID-19 pandemic; the health and safety of attendees is of highest priority for PDPW and the Kalahari staff. While providing flexibility and comfort, capacities have been calculated for each room, with seating arrangements that allow attendees to reposition chairs to ensure safe distances. To promote social distancing during sessions, extra audiovisual equipment will be set up in overflow areas. All food and beverages will be individually served by Kalahari staff, and masks and hand sanitizer will be included in training kits for each attendee.

The Kalahari Resort also features amenities for everyone after conference sessions are over, whether a family adventure at the waterpark, relaxing in the spa, or simply enjoying quality rooms and dining opportunities.

Full program and registration information, including the PDPW Business Conference flier, is available at www.pdpw.org or by calling 800-947-7379. Reduced rates for students will apply, including for teens attending the youth-leadership sessions and full-time students 19 and older.
