The Pioneer agronomy team continues its free Forward-thinking Farming webinar series on Feb. 19. The hour-long presentation focuses on how farmers can create a good nutrient management plan to feed their fields in 2021. The webinar is open to the public and farmers need not be Pioneer customers to find the content valuable.

Webinar details:

Date: Feb. 19, 2021

Time: 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. CT

Topic: Feeding Your Field ‒ How to Form Your Nutrient Plan

The starting point for any nutrient management plan begins with a soil sample. After that sample is analyzed, it’s time to develop an efficient and economical strategy that will deliver nutrients to the plant throughout the growing season.

This webinar will cover:

  • Using soil test results to develop a nutrient management strategy
  • Build/maintain vs. sufficiency programs
  • Which fertilizers to use and why
  • Efficiencies of different application methods (banding vs. broadcast, foliar, etc.)
