FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative approves of the Senate’s confirmation of Katherine Tai as the new United States Trade Representative.

“FarmFirst applauds Katherine Tai being recently confirmed as the new U.S. Trade Representative,” says Jeff Lyon, FarmFirst General Manager. “Tai’s experience and attention to detail on specific trade provisions will prove to be valuable as the U.S. looks to expand the reach and global market share of U.S. dairy products.

Dairy exports account for 15% of U.S. milk production, so it is imperative that the U.S. maintain quality trade agreements and continues to build upon other markets that benefit from U.S. dairy products.

FarmFirst is thankful to have Katherine Tai officially confirmed and ready to begin her work advocating for U.S. dairy as the new U.S. Trade Representative. We look forward to working with her in the weeks and months ahead.”
