The Missouri Dairy board is pleased to announce the hiring of Gene Wiseman as Legislative Director, effective August 1. Interviewed at the July board meeting, Gene is the first to serve in this leadership role. “I am excited begin this new opportunity to work with Missouri Dairy and to ensure dairy producer’s voice is heard in Jefferson City.” notes Gene Wiseman, Legislative director for Missouri Dairy. “My priorities are: building trust, fostering relationships, effectively communicating dairy concerns, and ensuring that Missouri Dairy represents it member interests.”
“Gene comes equipped and ready to work” said Reagan Bluel, educational director for MO Dairy. “His passion to serve the dairy industry has been apparent throughout his career serving as Executive Secretary of the Milk Board for the past 14 years. The unique challenges that face the dairy industry demanded someone deeply knowledgeable in the innerworkings.”
“This paired leadership structure ensures Missouri Dairy is best positioned to serve our industry’s needs.” said Tom Oelrichs, Chairman of the board. “The board is eager to work with Gene and Reagan to advance the industry we love.”
