Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative has added an experienced field services professional to its members services team, with a focus on serving the co-op’s members in South Dakota and Minnesota, including farmers who are part of the Minnesota Milk Producers Association.
Kaitlin Heusel most recently served as a field representative for Foremost Farms USA, a dairy manufacturing cooperative, for nearly 10 years where she provided member services to 70 dairy farms in northern Wisconsin. She has a Bachelor of Science in dairy production from South Dakota State University, and she and her family reside in Lake City, Minn.
Among her responsibilities with Edge, Heusel is completing monthly verification checks along with bulk tank calibrations for members upon request. Edge provides administrative and program services to Minnesota Milk.
“I am excited to join Edge and Minnesota Milk and be a part of the great things they are doing for their dedicated dairy farmers,” Heusel said. “I hope to bring my experience of working in member services at a dairy manufacturing cooperative to bring even more value to the members and the team.”
Edge CEO Tim Trotter said Heusel will ensure that the co-op maintains its high level of service.
“Edge is laser focused on delivering value to our members. Kaitlin’s experience and passion for putting members first will bolster that commitment,” Trotter said. “We are fortunate to have her on our team.”
Lucas Sjostrom, executive director of Minnesota Milk, said the association’s members will benefit from Heusel’s understanding of the challenges farmers face.
“With nearly a decade of experience working hand in hand with farmers, Kaitlin recognizes the importance of building a strong relationship between producers and their service providers,” Sjostrom said.
