Rotochopper welcomed customers and prospects to a regional Field Day event in Sacramento, California. Over thirty attendees enjoyed a fantastic day witnessing six different Rotochopper machines in action. The event was organized by our West Coast Sales Team and graciously hosted by Lopez Ag Services, a valued Rotochopper customer.

The day kicked off with introductions and an overview from Matt Vogel, our West Coast Regional Sales Representative. Following his opening remarks, we moved into our first demo for the day: our largest horizontal grinder, the B-66LII, demonstrating its capabilities by grinding green waste.

The morning continued with a series of impressive demonstrations. We showcased the B-66 horizontal grinder processing dimensional lumber and demonstrated our grind and color technology using the MC-266 horizontal grinder to produce colored mulch. In addition, the 365R Radial Stacking Conveyor highlighted the advantages of its stacking and radial features. During the final demo of the morning, the TS 124 Deck Screener screened compost. Attendees were engaged and impressed, providing valuable insights, questions, and conversations about the equipment and its potential applications for their own operations.

During lunch, attendees had the opportunity to learn about RotoLink®, Rotochopper’s Remote Monitoring System. Adam Asmus, Rotochopper Customer Service Manager, logged into a machine currently operating in the field and demonstrated the data and analysis available through RotoLink. Following this, Matt Cox and Blake Gibson from Colorbiotics led a Q&A session on colorant and coloring capabilities. Both presentations generated excellent questions and engaging discussions among the attendees.

The afternoon started with a demonstration of Rotochopper’s Go-Bagger 250 bagging compost. Attendees also observed our exclusive screen change system on the B-66LII and watched the MC-266 horizontal grinder process dimensional lumber. The ground material was then fed into the 365R Radial Stacking Conveyor, which transported it into the TS 124 Deck Screener, separating the ground lumber into three separate sized products.

Matt Vogel shared, “The 2024 West Coast Field Day was an excellent event. We’re grateful to Lopez Ag Services for hosting our event at their site in Sacramento. It was over 100 degrees by midday, but we had excellent attendees that braved the heat to see our equipment, network, and get to know Rotochopper staff members. We ran three grinders, a stacking conveyor, a deck screener, and our Go-Bagger 250. We produced colored mulch in our MC-266 grinder, which made a great product. Our Marketing team did an excellent job organizing the event, and our on-site staff members were knowledgeable about running the equipment, discussing features of the machines, and keeping the flow of the day going.”

Attendees at the event were thrilled to witness the equipment in action, connect with fellow business owners, and discover the latest innovations at Rotochopper. We extend our gratitude to everyone who joined us at our West Coast Field Day event.
