Kylene Anderson has joined Hoard’s Dairyman as managing editor. Raised on her family’s registered Holstein dairy in Fort Atkinson, Wis., she continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she graduated with a degree in dairy science and agriculture journalism with an emphasis in international agriculture.

After working for the university’s International Agriculture Programs in Mexico for six months, she returned to the Midwest and has spent her career in marketing with livestock clients, including 16 years with a dairy and beef genetic supplier. Anderson has visited dairies across the country and in 10 foreign countries as well as hosted visitors to U.S. dairies. Today, she and her family also care for a small herd of dairy heifers and a beef cow-calf herd.
