Kaltenbach photoShirley Kaltenbach has been promoted to director of communications at Select Sires Inc. In this role she will oversee the newly formed department of communications, which includes all advertising, communications and writing personnel.

"This growth has created an opportunity to place all communications under one department providing quality service and communications to our customer owners, member cooperatives and Select Sires employees.

"Kaltenbach has a combination of tremendous A.I. industry experience, excellence in writing, creative flair and an uncompromising commitment to excellence which she will bring to this position and responsibility," Thorbahn continues.

Kaltenbach, who has 35 years of experience in the A.I. industry, most recently served as assistant to the president and CEO and assistant to the chairman and board of directors at Select Sires. Prior to that experience she excelled in several departments at Select Sires including business and finance, veterinary health, Select Embryos and administration. Previously, she was a sales representative, managed the progeny test program and served as operations manager at National Breeding Company.
