Growers share harvest photos to win Yeti ® coolers, trip for two anywhere in the U.S.
As combines start to roll across the Corn Belt, growers are seeing yield results from the Pioneer® brand products they planted this spring. To reward their success, DuPont Pioneer has launched a social media sweepstakes encouraging growers to tweet a harvest photo featuring Pioneer® brand products with the hashtag #YieldHero. Learn More
Qualified entrants in the #YieldHero Twitter contest will have a chance to win one of theYeti ® coolers being awarded weekly, and one grand prize winner, announced after harvest, will receive a trip for two anywhere in the United States. The contest began on Sept. 11, and will continue until Nov.5, 2015.
"Every grower deserves a getaway, especially after harvest," said Cathy Lee Fredrickson, DuPont Pioneer social media consultant. "We want our customers to share their success stories with fellow growers and also to win that chance to get away, on us!"
To enter, U.S. growers 18 years or older can take a harvest photo or "selfie" featuring Pioneer® brand products and post it to Twitter with the hashtag #YieldHero and mention @DuPontPioneer. Growers can then follow @DuPontPioneer for winner announcements.
More than 400 Yield Heroes were recognized on Twitter via @DuPontPioneer in 2014, sharing their corn and soybean yields with social media users across the country. Growers continue to see significant yield gains when they work with their local Pioneer team to match the right corn hybrids and soybean varieties with the right acre. The Pioneer team is With You from the Word GO - helping growers identify the best matchups and making agronomic practice recommendations to boost yields each season.
The first 2015 #YieldHero winner is Zack Youngquist of Monmouth, Ill. Youngquist will receive a Yeti ® cooler for the photo he tweeted of an ear of Pioneer® P1417AMX™ brand corn.
