A tradition that keeps going, the National 4-H Dairy Conference (NDC) attendees visited four sites in Fort Atkinson, Wis., today.

Groups were able to visit our offices here (see pictures, below), the Hoard's Dairyman Farm, Nasco, and the National Dairy Shrine.

Over 164 students (juniors or seniors in high school) came through these four sites, quickly filling up our offices as the buses unloaded.

This morning, editors Steve Larson and Amanda Smith welcomed one of the groups.

Editor Lucas Sjostrom welcomed another group.

Greg Mode explained that Hoard's does more than just the Dairyman. W.D. Hoard & Sons also prints some sports magazines, among other subjects.

They also took a peek at the bindery, the last room before magazines are sent to Chicago, Minneapolis, and Canadian postal centers for distribution.

They return to Madison for free time and a tour of the campus, with a banquet tonight. Tomorrow they spend the day at World Dairy Expo.
