    The Buckeye State captured many winning titles.

    The International Holstein Show wrapped up the last of the breed shows as World Dairy Expo week slowly came to an end. The winning Four-Year-Old, Jeffrey-Way Hard Rock Twigs, owned by Kevin Doeberiener, Lindsay Bowen, and Pat Conroy of West Salem, Ohio, stole the show by winning both Senior and Grand Champion titles. Standing next to Twigs was Oakfield Solom Footloose-ET owned by Showbox Sires and Vierra Dairy of Ruduloph, Wis., earning a spot as Reserve Grand Champion after she won the Lifetime Production Cow class. Honorable Mention recognition was given to Erbacres Snapple Shakira, the second place lifetime production cow owned by Jacobs, Antelimarck, Ty-D Holsteins, Theraulaz, and Attaboy Holsteins, of Quebec.

    As the intermediate cow classes strutted across the pink shavings, the judges selected another cow from Ohio as their Intermediate Champion. Owned by Kevin Doebereiner, Pat Conroy, and Butlerview of West Salem, Ohio, RJR Discjockey 7509-ET captured the Intermediate Champion title after winning the Senior Three-Year-Old class. The second place Senior Three-Year-Old, Eixdale Pwrup Alongside, followed in close second, winning Reserve Intermediate Champion for Milksource Genetics of Kaukauna, Wis. Champion Bred and Owned Cow of Show was awarded to Four-Year-Old Jacobs Excalibur Bahamas, owned by Ferme Jacobs Inc., of Cap-Sante Quebec.

    On Thursday, Junior Champion honors went to Genesee Altitude Leah, the first place Spring Yearling also owned by Kevin Doeberiener, Lindsay Bowen, Conroy, Clarkvalley, and Osinga of West Salem, Ohio. She went on to be named Supreme Champion heifer of the Open Show. The Reserve Junior Champion Holstein was the Fall Yearling, Lyn-Vale Just Believe In Me, exhibited by Quality Holsteins, Breckridge, and Agriber of Vaughan, Ontario.When it came to the presentation of the Premier Awards, Quebec exhibitors went home with a few wins under their belt. Ferme Jacobs Inc., of Cap-Sante, Quebec, was awarded the Premier Breeder honor. The Premier Breeder and Exhibitor of the Heifer show was awarded to Ferme Petitclerc of St-Basile, Quebec. Taking home bragging rights as the Premier Exhibitor of the Holstein show was Butlerview Farm of Chebanse, Ill. Farnear Delta-Lambda-ET captured the Premier Sire title.

    This year’s show was full of talent and potential as the judges sorted through and handpicked their winners. This year’s Holstein judging team consisted of official judge Jamie Black of Batavia, N.Y., and his associate judge, Aaron Eaton of Marietta, N.Y.
