A number of years ago, Larry Baer of Marshallville, Ohio, created this weight to help ensure proper packing density in his corn silage bunker. He filled a 55-gallon drum with concrete and reinforced it with two steel bands. The two extra steel bands around the 55-gallon drum then easily attach to the three-point hitch on the tractor.
