Maggie C. Seiler joined the Hoard's Dairyman editorial staff in June 2015. Currently serving as Associate Editor, she covers feeding and nutrition, youth activities and heads up the World Dairy Expo Supplement. She previously oversaw Hoard's Dairyman's books, plans and other dairy resources that are available for purchase.
She graduated from Kansas State University in May 2015 with degrees in Agricultural Communications/Journalism and Animal Sciences and Industry. While at K-State, she participated in various clubs and competition teams including the dairy judging team, dairy challenge team, dairy science club, alpha zeta honorary and College of Agriculture Ambassadors. Maggie also held several internships during college including serving as the 2014 Hoard's Dairyman editorial intern and communications intern for Kansas Dairy. As part of her duties for Kansas Dairy, she published a quarterly newsletter entitled the Dairy Dispatch and designed content for various advertisements and internal uses.
Maggie was raised on her parents' dairy near Valley Center, Kan., helping care for their 130-cow registered Holstein herd. She was an active part of the management team while she lived in Kansas and stays close to the operation today by helping manage record and registration data.
