A cow scratcher on demand
We made a cow scratcher that we can move from pen to pen on our farm. We took an old road sweeper brush and washed and sanitized the bristles. Next, we took an old large tire, centered a metal pole in the middle of it and filled it with cement to make a solid, sturdy base. Once it was dry, we slid the brush onto the metal pole.The cows love to scratch on it. The added bonus is that we can roll it wherever we want it to be.
