The Missouri Dairy Association (MDA) Board of Directors has pledged their support for four candidates in the upcoming Missouri primary election.
"MDA is pleased to recognize and support four candidates who we consider sincere friends of the Missouri dairy farmer," says MDA President Ted Sheppard and a dairy farmer from Cabool.
"Our dairy farmers are facing tough economic times with declining export markets and increasing worldwide competition while US milk production is rising.
"These four candidates have shown their support for us at the national and state level which we greatly appreciate," says Sheppard.
The four include:
- US Senator Roy Blunt (Missouri) for reelection
- US Congressman Jason Smith (8th District-Missouri) for reelection
- Missouri Senator Mike Parson (District 28) of Bolivar for Missouri Lt. Governor
- Missouri Senator Kurt Schaefer (District 19) of Columbia for Missouri Attorney General
MDA is an organization of dairy producers, committed to promote, protect and enhance the Missouri dairy industry by working to insure the profitability of dairy produce.
