Midwest Dairy Association’s North Dakota Division is seeking candidates to serve as North Dakota's 70th Dairy Princess. The entry deadline is Wednesday, May 31.

The North Dakota Dairy Princess serves as the official goodwill ambassador for the state’s dairy industry, helping communicate with people about dairy farmers’ stewardship for animals and natural resources, the safety and wholesomeness of dairy products, and the economic importance of dairy to North Dakota’s economy.

Eligible candidates include young women from 18 and 24 years old with a strong interest in and affiliation with the dairy industry. A young woman also qualifies if she has been active in dairy projects and showing cattle through 4-H or the National FFA Organization, and is sincerely interested in the dairy community.

Selection is based on communication skills, general knowledge of the dairy industry and enthusiasm for dairy promotion.

The 2017 North Dakota Dairy Princess receives a $500 scholarship from Midwest Dairy Association’s North Dakota Division.
