Select Sires Member Cooperative (SSMC) is pleased to announce the addition of Kendra VanDerostyne as a Dairy Program Specialist. In this role, Kendra will support professional A.I. technicians, genetic and reproductive advisors, CowManager® specialists and account managers in South Dakota and Iowa, along the I-29 Corridor. Kendra will work with herd inventory management software – Optimal Genetic Pathways (OGP) for dairies she serves. Additionally, she will provide Select Mating Service (SMS), have relief technician duties, and build strong SSMC customer relations for dairies in this territory.
Prior to joining SSMC Kendra was an A.I. technician for another company where she bred cows and coordinated staff schedules. Additionally, Kendra gained valuable client relationship skills as a veterinary technician for both small and large animal clinics.
“Kendra’s knowledge of reproductive strategies, hands-on animal care and people skills will make her an important asset to the dairy producers she serves in the I-29 Corridor,” shared Murray Sinclair, Area 2 Business Director.
A graduate of Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown, South Dakota, Kendra has two associates degrees. The first is in Large Animal Science and the other is Farm and Ranch Management.
