We developed a bale mover out of pallets to keep bales from sitting on the dirty ground. This also helped to keep the bale supported on one side so it wouldn’t fall apart while we took what we needed. In addition, this allowed us to pick the entire bale up and move it to a new location without losing any of the straw.
To create it, we took two pallets, laid them end to end, and then put a 4 by 8 sheet of plywood on top. We securely fastened the three pieces together. Finally, we attached a back stop on one end of it.
