After more than 20 years with the Progressive Agriculture Foundation, Susan Reynolds-Porter has elected to retire from her role as Chief Executive Officer. To continue building on all the organization has accomplished under Susan’s leadership, the Board of Directors of the Progressive Agriculture Foundation is pleased to announce the hiring of Brian Kuhl to the position of Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective January 12, 2018.

Brian offers more than two decades of diverse business experience, including working with some of the nation’s largest agriculture cooperatives. In his 18 years with CHS Inc., Brian led the development of an executive training program for young leaders in conjunction with the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business and oversaw operations of the CHS Inc. corporate campus.

In addition, Brian served on the Progressive Agriculture Foundation Board of Directors for six years, including three years as Board President. He coordinated numerous Progressive Agriculture Safety Days and was instrumental in establishing the program in six new communities in the Upper Midwest.
Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business and marketing communications from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls as well as an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He currently lives in Hudson, Wisconsin, with his wife, Kelly, and their two young children.

As we head into another busy and successful year for the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day program, Susan will support Brian as a special projects manager through March 2018. The foundation appreciates the leadership both Susan and Brian have provided over the years and looks forward to continuing its mission of providing the education, training and resources to make farm, ranch and rural life safer and healthier for children and their communities for many years to come.
