American Dairy Association North East to Offer Free Training for Dairy Farmers

The information below has been supplied by dairy marketers and other industry organizations. It has not been edited, verified or endorsed by Hoard’s Dairyman.

Spring is traditionally a time to open your farms to school students and others for farm tours. With people unable to enjoy an in-person spring farm tour this year, American Dairy Association North East will host a free webinar on Wednesday, May 13, at 7 p.m., on how to bring the farm to consumers virtually.

Consumer interest in how food is produced continues, and virtual farm tours allow them to better understand modern dairy farming and animal care.

ADA North East’s DairyFAN group will host the webinar, “Telling Your Dairy Story with a Virtual Farm Tour.” Webinar topics will include how to host a private or public virtual farm tour for your community; suggested equipment and social platforms to use for the tour; and different approaches and topics for hosting your virtual farm tour.

Please pre-register for the webinar. After registering, a confirmation email will be sent containing information to join the webinar.

DairyFAN – the Dairy Food Advocacy Network - is ADA North East’s social media advocacy outreach program to engage consumers in the growing and complex public dialogue surrounding our farms and our food.

For more information about the webinar or the DairyFAN program, contact Emma Andrew-Swarthout at eandrew@milk4u.org, or call 315.472.9143.
