I mix milk replacer for 10 calves at one time and want to make sure I have consistent water temperatures for each batch. My husband came up with the idea of cutting some plastic packing foam and piercing my digital thermometer through so it can float while reading the temperature of the water and milk. This way I am hands free and can continue getting batches of milk replacer ready to feed the calves.
