While the Great Minnesota Get-Together this year has been canceled due to COVID-19, the fair will be hosting a “food parade” allowing visitors to get their fix of beloved fair foods from 16 vendors while socially distanced in their cars. The Dairy Goodness Bar regularly ranks among the fair’s top food attractions and will be joining the food parade by serving malts – vanilla, chocolate and vanilla with caramel topping.
“Our exclusive malt mix recipe is one that people look forward to every year as it’s only available at the Minnesota State Fair,” said Alex Larson, marketing communications manager, Midwest Dairy. “We are thrilled to support our dairy farmers and provide that once-a-year Dairy Goodness Bar experience with delicious dairy products.”
Malts are $5 and will be sold from two malt wagons located at Underwood street between Dan Patch and Wright Avenue on the parade route. The food parade will be held Aug. 20-23, 27-30 and Sept. 3-7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Labor Day will be 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Details on the food parade can be found at mnstatefair.org. Tickets to the food parade are sold out.
