John Deere has released a new 20-3 software update for its Generation 4 4600 CommandCenter™ displays. The update includes new features and enhancements to its popular Machine Sync application. Prior to the update, farmers could use John Deere Machine Sync to automate the combine unloading process during grain harvest, so they could focus on harvesting or other machine functions. Machine Sync speeds up harvest operations while reducing grain loss and stress on the combine and grain cart operators.

Update 20-3 includes additional capabilities so John Deere Self-Propelled Forage Harvesters can leverage Machine Sync functionality to fill carts on either the left or right side of the machine or directly behind the forage harvester.

In addition, Machine Sync can now be used during the harvest of other direct cut specialty crops such as potatoes or onions, when harvest equipment is pulled with a John Deere tractor and unloads directly into a commodity cart also pulled by a John Deere tractor.

“The same customer values of Machine Sync that were true for grain harvest have now been extended bringing higher levels of automation to a broader range of crops,” John Mishler, marketing manager for precision ag technologies at John Deere said.

John Deere Machine Sync is currently available to order as part of the Automation bundle of applications for John Deere Premium Generation 4 Displays. For more information visit JohnDeere.com or your local John Deere dealer.
