Lallemand Animal Nutrition announces Mike Steilen joined the North American marketing team, which supports the company’s prominent microbial solutions such as MAGNIVA® Forage Inoculants and LEVUCELL® SC.

“Microbial solutions, like prebiotics and probiotics, are gaining widespread adoption in livestock and companion animals. We are well positioned as a primary producer and major supplier of silage inoculants, probiotics and yeast derivatives across all continents,” says Jeff Ast, Commercial Director, Lallemand Animal Nutrition, North and South America. “Mike’s marketing experience will be critical as we continue to show livestock producers and pet owners how our products and services can help their businesses and animals.”

Mike brings decades of animal health experience to his role. He most recently served as marketing director for Newport Laboratories, a Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health company. In addition, he has experience marketing analytical devices for both biotechnology and human medicine. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and microbiology in addition to a master’s of business administration degree, both from Iowa State University.

In his spare time, Mike is an avid homebrewer, golfer, woodworking enthusiast, photographer and fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals.
