When baling a heavy windrow, sometimes hay would get caught on the draw pin, which eventually created a slug that the baler didn’t appreciate. To keep hay from getting caught on the pin, we cut down an old mud flap and slipped it over the tractor draw bar. A U-shaped piece of tin was bolted to the front and top of the flap to keep the draw bar from wearing through the rubber. A heavy bungee cord secures the flap in place to cover the bottom of the draw pin and keep the crop flowing smoothly.
