HOLSTEIN - BDAC
B uses her advantage in strength to place over D, being much wider in the chest floor and rump. B also shows more spring of rib and slightly more depth of fore and rear rib. This width carries through as she also has a higher and wider rear udder. She also has a more defined crease in the rear udder.
D uses her decided advantage in dairy character to place over A, being much cleaner in her bone. D is flatter and more incurving in her thigh, and cleaner and more angular out across her topline. D also has a higher rear udder attachment and carries her width to the top of her rear udder. I will grant A has an advantage in strength being wider in her chest floor and showing more spring of rib when viewed from the rear.
A uses her advantage in udder to place over C, being more nearly level on the udder floor when viewed from both the rear and the side. A also has a deeper, more defined crease and more width throughout the rear udder. She exhibits more width of chest and has a more appropriate slope from hooks to pins. A also has an advantage in feet and legs with a much stronger pastern. I will grant that C has an advantage in dairy character being cleaner and flatter in her bone, but lacks the quality of mammary system or the correctness in her feet and legs to place any higher in the class.
